Jeff Bell: Slowly Killing Microsoft’s PR

Microsoft’s Corporate VP of Global Marketing, Jeff Bell — you might have heard of him. No? Look to the right—-> Yeah, there you go. If you tuned into the Microsoft E3 2007 Press Conference, horrible memories of a robotic-sounding PR-bot who claims to be Reggie Bush’s personal friend are probably flooding through your cerrabellum faster than Nintendo lost the harcore gamer.

Well, imagine one vocal forum poster’s surprise when he recieved the following private message after critiquing his performance via the NeoGaf message boards:

Check out the user name: “bell801.” Sure, this could have been any one of your average keyboard jockies, but 1Up traced the sources, gathered connections, and even confirmed IP addresses and have come up with what looks to be definitive proof that this was indeed Jeff Bell, aka “BigDaddy801″ on Xbox Live.

Has calling someone out on an internet message board ever worked? Jeff Bell seems to think so. Don’t mess with Jeff Bell; you may not be able to comprehend what other insults he has up his sleeve.

Hilarious. His part of the E3 presentation was absolutely atrocious. Between him and Mattrick, Peter Moore is really going to be missed.

Meh. I didn’t really care. He acted like some overzealous PR guy - seen millions of those.

  3. MitchyD Says:

He went from robotic, to black, to back to robotic.

    “I got you now, DAWWWWWG!”
