No Final Fantasy XIII Demo Until 2008

Japan’s imfamous gaming magazine Famitsu recently caught up with Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto, who despite many rumors, stated that there will not be any Final Fantasy XIII demos out this year.
Previously, in the latest issue of EGM, FFXIII Director Motomu Toriyama teased FF fans’ hopes of a playable demo this year, stating:
Hopefully we can finish a playable demo in the near future so that gamers can feel the next-gen difference in the gameplay.
Despite past promises, it looks like those waiting to “feel the next-gen difference” will have to wait just a bit longer before the mass-market consumer can get their hands on the next iterations in the Final Fantasy series. Though, it is mentioned that “new videos” of FFXIII and Versus XIII will show up later this year (TGS perhaps?).
