Sony releases new firmware for PS3 and PSP

Today firmware 1.90 was released in North America for the PS3. One of the bigest features in the PS3 update is the ability to have custom backgrounds.
Some of the other changes are:
- You can now use emoticons in messages under [Friends]
- Support for text entry in simplified Chinese characters has been added.
- You can now select traditional Chinese characters as a text entry method.
- You can now sort games in the XMB via Creation date from the top, from the bottom, and by format.
- You can now also modify almost all video options while watching a DVD/Blu-ray.
- The ability to eject a disc via the Triangle menu.
- You no longer have to plug in your controller to update.
The PSP also has an update (3.52) avaliable through network update which:
- Revisions to strengthen security have been added.
- The number of PLAYSTATION Network titles that can be played under [Game] has increased.
