Resident Evil 5 is one of those games that just can’t come out soon enough. We were teased at Microsoft’s E3 2007 press conference with a scant, minute-long trailer, and now the final, uncut version has hit both the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The setting this time is definitely Africa, and this new, extended trailer shows more of the actual zombies in the game. The camera angle used in the trailer alludes to the popular over-the-shoulder camera made famous in Resident Evil 4 being reimplemented, and a Capcom representative on PlayStation.Blog confirms that everything in the trailer is running in-game.
Capcom leaves us with “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet,” on how the game will be compared to RE4. With the game’s delay until 2009, waiting for RE5 will definitely be an immeasurable annoyance. For those of you without access to a PS3 or 360, we’ve included the new trailer after the break.
