Comic Con: Viva Pinata DS Announced

Squeezing one of the last announcements out of Comic Con, Rare announced that the previously exclusive Xbox 360 title, Viva Pinata will be making its way to the Nintendo DS.
Details are few and far between as of now, with no information on whether Rare, themselves would be developing it, or if they would farm Viva Pinata DS out to other developers a la Viva Pinata: Party Animals (developed by Krome Studios).
The Nintendo DS’ touch-screen serves for the perfect interface for a strategy-type perspective, and the developers are taking full advantage of the feature by implementing a strictly top-down view rather than the Xbox 360’s manueverable camera.
This brings up one other point: Halo DS confirmed? Many felt that Microsoft would never let a first-party game reach another platform, yet here we are, with a first-party game on the Nintendo DS.

I’d get it for my DS… except I have the 360 version and need those Achievements. :p
