UK Site Offers MGS4 Pre-orders for Xbox 360

We can chalk another one up to the validity of the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots-on-Xbox 360 rumor, with UK-based retailer HMV offering up pre-orders with a release date nearly five months after the PlayStation 3 version.
CVG was the first to pick up on the listing that currently states the Xbox 360 version will be out on September 26, 2008 while the PlayStation 3 version does indeed seem to have a window of exclusivity with a release five months earlier on April 14, 2008.
As most online-based retailers do, this could just be a tentative release date, but with the evidence continuing to pile up, it would be more of a surprise if MGS4 did not come out on the 360. Why not just announce it? My guess is that Konami and Sony must have some kind of deal to make it seem like it will be only available on the PS3 for a specified time, then pull a move similar to Virtua Fighter 5 and announcing a 360 version post-launch.
