Mass Effect: Character Customization and Story

In every Mass Effect video, you’ve seen the same Commander Sheperd - a buzz-cut, tanned male. Well, finally, Bioware has shown how you can make your own Sheperd. It also gives a big idea of just how deep this game is.

Game Videos got a chance to sit down with a few people behind Mass Effect. They take a look at the driving portion of the game, the combat system, and the character creation. The most surprising thing is the new and improved combat system. The last few videos of Mass Effect’s combat showed a weird pause-like menu that looked a bit clunky and slow. But the new menu is a one button Shadowrun-esque menu. You press a single button, and navigate the options with the sticks.

Also, the character customization looks amazing. By the looks of it you can only play as a human. Not that that’s a bad thing. But, you can make your character look however you want. Although they will most definitely resemble a human.
