Mario Strikers Charged - Overpowered Toad?

Dirt Toad cheaterThere’s a minor controversy in the new Nintendo Wii game Mario Strikers Charged in that there’s an exploitable glitch in the game: You can score freely with Toad - as shown in this Digital Unrest Cartoon.

Basically, Toad can hop over the goalkeeper and score easily that way. It’s alright if you’re playing against the computer, but if you’re playing against a friend, as the warning suggests: May send your opponent into a murderous rage.

Anyone else remember fondly (or darkly) at any game exploits they remember from the past?

I don’t remember which year it was, but one of the early versions of Madden for Genesis had a great exploit.

It started by taking one of your defensive lineman and inching him into the neutral zone. If you timed it just right, you could jump past the offensive line on the snap, leaving you free to cream the QB.

This all happened so fast that your opponent didn’t even have time to hand the ball off to the RB, much less toss a long pass. The only option left was a quick short yardage pass, which you could easily defend.

This isn’t a fluke. The computer uses this technique.
