Jack Thompson: Bioshock Ad Too Violent … During WWE Smackdown

He's qwazyOh, the irony. Jack Thompson is whining to the FCC that the Bioshock ad that ran during an episode of WWE Smackdown was “too violent”, and that it was catering to kids.

Just let the irony sink in for a few minutes. You know it’s a nice bath of juicy hypocrisy to soak in…

Okay, so let’s ask the really, really obvious question to Sir Jack: did you have any sort of problem with WWE Smackdown? And let’s not forget that not only is there glorified violence – and anyone who’s played even the Bioshock demo knows that the violence in that game is not glorified, it’s intended to scare and dismay you – but massive use of steroids, racism, homophobia, and so forth.

Please, Jack, go check out mixed martial arts matches which really inspire teens to hurt themselves trying to imitate them in their own amateur matches, and leave the Little Sisters alone, before the Big Daddies get you.
