Yawn. If it's not called Suikoden, it's a boring JRPG.

The return to your hometown is emotional - especially when you start looking into your own abandoned places - including Kluke's, where her (dead) mother and (dead) father wrote diary entries about her.

Though I love this exchange when you go through Kluke's underwear drawer:

Kluke: Don't go in there!
Marumaro: What is this thin cloth?
Kluke: Marumaro!
Marumaro: OW!

* * *

Shu: This bed smells like Kluke.
Kluke: I told you. Knock. It. Off.

I've never been a fan of JRPGs, and the extreme amounts of text on the menu system kind of intimidated me away from playing more than a few minutes into the demo.

I want to like this game because of the character and world design, but I just can't get into the turn-based style combat.
