The first thing everybody thought when Sony unveiled the remote play connectivity between the PSP and PlayStation 3 was whether or not games would work through the service…only to get a resounding “no” from Sony representatives — or at least more of a “not yet” workaround answer.
Users have now discovered that Factor 5’s humongous dragon turd of a game, Lair is now playable on the PSP using the remote play feature, and even rendering the game slightly more playable. Next-Gen.biz spoke to Sony on the matter, and concluded that Sony is aware of the issue, and is “investigating the matter”:
Next-Gen contacted Sony who, despite being short on details for the time being, conceded that Lair is playable on PS3 via Remote Play. When asked whether Remote Play was still restricted to the sharing of content saved on the PS3’s hard drive, a Sony spokesperson revealed: “That was true up until now.”
If that’s not enough for you, countless users have submitted videos to YouTube, so pick your poison and enjoy, or if you’re so unfortunate as to have a copy of Lair, check it out yourself.
