Xbox 360 Rock Band Bundle Includes Wired Guitar, USB Hub

Joystiq is reporting that on the most recent OXM Podcast Harmonix CEO, Alex Rigopulos confirmed that the Xbox 360 bundle of (the much anticipated) Rock Band will include a wired guitar. The Drums, and Microphone on both the PS3 and 360 versions of the game are wired. But, don’t feel too bad Xbox 360 owners, because Harmonix will be bundling a USB Hub to manage all those pesky wires.
The cost of wireless technology on the Microsoft side is higher and to be able to offer those bundles at a price point that would be reasonable for consumers it was necessary … on the 360 side we are also bundling a hub.”
Why Microsoft decided to go the proprietary wireless technology route, we’ll never know. Until they stop charging licensing fees to use said technology, Xbox 360 owners will be stuck paying extra money for what is the standard nowadays.
