Guitar Hero III: Arriving on PC and Mac This Fall

What do you do with a highly successful franchise like Guitar Hero? You take your winnings and cash you scored on the prior titles and put a focus on covering all major platforms of gaming!
Guitar Hero III shall make it’s way to the PC and Mac platforms this fall and connect you up (USB of course) to the most potentially awesome game of the year. The game is said to ship on PC and Mac at the same time as it arrives on other platforms (sans PSP), giving everyone a chance to purchase the hot seller.
Although not a Halo killer, Guitar Hero III hits the sweet spot of gamer demographic: everyone. Unlike Halo, this franchise doesn’t focus on the core gamer but branches out to a fresh pool of gamers that are not always interested in a six button controller…but a crazy Axe wielding rockstar controller? Obviously.
Hardcore gamers, softcore gamers and non-core gamers are all over this franchise and opening it up to PC and Mac owners will only create more buzz, more interest and more sales. For me, however, I’m going to select the Wii as my platform of choice because of the rumble features, the speaker on the controller and its native wireless attachment. Although I own a PC and Mac Book Pro and Xbox 360 having the ability to select the version of the title that best suits my lifestyle is simply awesome.
Rock on guys, even you mac users get a game this year. ‘Grats.
