Halo 3: “The Museum” Spot

This Halo 3 television ad goes for emotion, in a Discovery Channel-styled documentary interview sometime around the turn of the 27th century with a veteran who fought alongside Master Chief. There’s no gameplay shots, no visual effects, just an old man in The Museum of Humanity. Does it tug at your heartstrings, maybe just a little?
(Thanks, GameTrailers.)

This is a gorgeous ad. Does this mean that the humans win(although an obviously bitter -sweet victory)?

Actually . . . having watched a lot of the history channel and documentaries of the like, I am inclined to believe this MAY be something of an intro or middle point in the story. The way the Major describes his memories sounds like there is still a lot left to the story. It just doesn’t sound completely like a eulogy.
