IGN has a ton of Mass Effect goodies, including the first video ever of creating a female Commander Shepard. They also issued a developer’s walkthrough and the opening of the game with the female Shepard.

You know, I think I’m going to make Shepard female in my first game. The character seems far more interesting with her than the male one.

This may be the first game in which I choose a female character over a male first time through. There’s a richer vibe with a female Shepard, for some reason.

This also may be the first game I play without subtitles. On some of the videos, they have subtitles, and they’re distracting.
