Isolation, 9th Official Halo 3 Map

After the reveal of Narrows, IGN scored another exclusive Halo 3 multiplayer map. This ons is called “Isolation”. Isolation takes place in a Biosphere (no, not Bio-Dome) that has been seeded with basic Flood organisms.
Lead multiplayer designer Tyson Green goes into more detail. The map was designed for Multi-Flag CTF. The bases are positioned so you can see and shoot from each base to the other. There are underground Bunkers that are the home to a mysterious “feature” that occurs when you’ve played Isolation for too long. Our guess? With the obvious Flood-like eggs in the screenshots and zombified players, all signs point to the Flood infestation, and completely overtaking the underground Bunkers.
Isolation consists mainly of close quarter combat, while medium and long range battles take place on the outer parts of the map. Great for Battle Rifles and well placed grenades. The only available vehicle available in matchmaking will be a Ghost.
