Halo 3 Leaves Platinum Impression on Famitsu

We think it’s pretty safe to say that with what we already know about Halo 3, it’ll be pretty incredible. However, given Japan’s hostility towards Microsoft and Western-developed games, many of us never imagined a world where a first person shooter would receive a platinum award in the gaming legend of a magazine, Famitsu.

It just so happens that it’s no longer necessary to fire up the old imagination, because Bungie’s beloved FPS just scored a platinum-worthy score of 37 out of 40 in the mag. 1Up excerpted a few quotes from the review:

Halo 3 is undoubtedly the best FPS game in the Japanese console market. The key parts in a game - sound, visuals and drama - are all top notch. The fun factor and appeal of a game as a form of entertainment can be seen in Halo 3. This is highly recommended.
