Sony just let out the first pricing and release date information out for the kind-of-a-demo/kind-of-a-game racing sim, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and judging by the pricing for what should be nothing more than a demo, you’d think this was a full-fledged retail product.
Since GT5 Prologue is actually coming out on Blu-Ray, and it’s been confirmed that it’s not the content-packed sequel to GT4 that we’ve been waiting for, it’s hard to figure out what’s going on in this situation. Sony seems to think it’s worth your well earned money, though, pricing GT5 Prologue at around USD $43 and $38 for the retail and PSN versions, respectively, when the game launches in Japan on December 13th.
Wasn’t this supposed to be free?

By “Demo” do they mean “Partial Game with Future Updates…. That you’ll pay for”?

[...] So players will sell user maps to other players for money? For a “free” online service, people sure are expected to pay for a lot of normally free services. [...]
