HOT RUMOR: Xbox 360 Core Out, Xbox 360 Arcade In?

Pssst.Various people are reporting that GameStop has started to show a new Xbox 360 SKU coming out. One usenet poster states:

Local Gamestop store manager confirmed they have a new SKU for XBox 360 Arcade and that no more Core units are coming….  This doesn’t really matter much since the XBox 360: Arcade is actually the Core unit with a slight upgrade. It will come with a memory card and a bundled game disc with 5 selections from XBox Live Arcade and it will retail for the same price $279.

We’ll be keeping an eye on this one.
