$39.99 Warhawk Hits Retail in Late October

Those of you who want to play Warhawk but prefer physical media, a bargain-priced $39.99 Warhawk will be hitting store shelves later in this month of October, according to Newsweek’s uber-videogame industry expert N’Gai Croal.

A Sony Computer Entertainment spokesperson has confirmed to Level Up that sometime later this month, retailers will begin selling a $39.99 SKU of Warhawk that does not include the Bluetooth headset. When the game went on sale in August, two versions were available: a download-only version sold through the Playstation Network for $39.99, and Blu-Ray disc version with a Jabra Bluetooth headset packed in, for $59.99. With this price reduction, the retail and digitally distributed versions of Warhawk now sell for the same price.

Will you be picking up the retail version, even if you’ve already downloaded it?

(Thanks, Newsweek.)

It’s been out at retail since launch, the only difference is that this one doesn’t come with a BlueTooth headset.

I know. I worded the article wrong. I made it a little more clear.

  3. MitchyD Says:

Why would I buy it if I’ve already bought it, sir?

  4. jonahfalcon Says:

    Ask Sony.

  5. MitchyD Says:

That doesn’t even make any sense. This is here for people who either have, or do not want to have a headset and chat. The download was a viable option for me, who has a headset, and the retail version is for people who either want it that way, need a headset, or need a disc. Stripping the headset just evens the plain.

  6. jonahfalcon Says:

It’s a cheaper budget edition - and maybe someone already HAS the headset.

  7. MitchyD Says:

So… you just made my point as to why this is a good thing.

  8. jonahfalcon Says:

Where did I say it was a bad thing?
