1up fired an e-mail Q&A to Brian “Sketch” Jarrard regarding the recent Microsoft/Bungie realignment that you should immediately read here. It’s got a couple interesting bits about the whole ordeal leading up to the revelation that Bungie was splitting off from Microsoft, but most notably is a tad more information that Sketch spills about the mysterious “Peter Jackson Project”.
1UP: For all the super fans: does this mean Bungie won’t work on whatever “Halo 4″ turns out to be?
Jarrard: Well we are already at work on another Halo game — I wouldn’t call it “Halo 4″, but it is based in the Halo Universe and represents a collaboration between Bungie and Peter Jackson. Halo 3 was definitely not the last Bungie Halo game.
Alright Halo fanatics: you’re in luck. Strangely enough, however, is that Marathon takes place in the Halo universe. Does this mean we will see new characters, planets and conflicts?

i think a new halo game that takes place before the 3 will be a mass dissapointment, and then to also make it 3rd person? thats horrible, halo has always been Fps and should stay that way forever, halo wars should be the only non-Fps style of Halo and Peter Jackson should only be allowed to direct movies, not video games. king kong was horrible, enough said.
