Super Smash Bros. Brawl Slips Into ‘08, Sonic Added

Perhaps the biggest news/disappoint at Nintendo’s Fall Conference last night was that Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii has slipped into 2008, officially for Japan, and most likely for North America as well. Not all surrounding the popular fighter is bad, though, as a slew of new features have been unveiled.
As many have been hoping would happen, Sonic the Hedgehog has now joined the already stellar roster of characters, while even better news is that Nintendo has finally woken up to online gaming and added a co-op mode available over Nintendo’s WiFi Connection.
As for the release date slips, Japan is set to get the game on January 24 of 2008, and now it’s looking like the US might see a similar delay. Originally set to ship December 3rd, SSBB’s release date on the official website has now been listed as “TBD.”
