Gabe Newell, who’s Valve Software is struggling with the PlayStation 3 version of The Orange Box, laid the smackdown on the embattled system in an interview the new issue of Edge magazine, calling it “a waste of everybody’s time”:
Investing in the Cell, investing in the SPE gives you no long-term benefits. There’s nothing there that you’re going to apply to anything else. You’re not going to gain anything except a hatred of the architecture they’ve created…I don’t think they’re going to make money off their box. I don’t think it’s a good solution.
This is not the first time Newell slammed the PS3. In January, he stated:
a total disaster on so many levels… I think it’s really clear that Sony lost track of what customers and what developers wanted
The Orange Box is due sometime in November for the PlayStation 3.

I lol’d at this, but then recalled how you said “TF2 [on 360] is the biggest piece of shit I’ve ever played”

I said it had the shittiest lag. Keep up, Mitchell.
Gabe is a BIG hero. Well, he likes big heroes, especially BLTs.

I’ll keep up by quoting you verbatim. Like I did.
Also, there’s NO lag.
