EA Wants Single Console Platform

Joystiq is reporting that Gerhard Florin, EA’s head of international publishing, wants a single console platform out there.

We want an open, standard platform which is much easier than having five which are not compatible.

Yeah, and I’m sure Electronic Arts wants one publisher for that console, just as that publisher has a monopoly of the NFL license and is buying up every developer in sight.

Note to EA: Corporate competition drives the economy.
