Guitar Hero III Red Octane Preorders Shipping?

Some folks have been reporting that their Guitar Hero III preorders directly from Red Octane have been labelled as “Shipped” - so if you see some friends with Guitar Hero III achievements, you’ll know why.
Anyone else have their preorders already in the mail? Let us know.

I got notification that it shipped today! When I went to tracking, it was shipped on 10/24, but scheduled arrival date is 10/31
I really hope not though.

mine still hasn’t shipped, but my friend’s has and it says it’ll arrive, get this, october 31st.
what exactly is the point of preordering directly from the publisher if it gets to you later than retail outlets?

i preordered mine sept 6th with a big smile on my face. for some reason i bought into the bs on the website that said “preorder now and be one of the first to get it” i even took screen shots of this so i could dispute it later hah. i emailed red octane today because i noticed that the game comes out in 2 days and my status didnt say shipped or anything. if i go into walmart today or tomorrow and they have it im just going to buy it. whenever my redoctane copy comes im going to mail it back and tell them that i dont appreciate false advertisement.

I preordered mine on the 22nd from Red Octane.
I’ve never gotten a confirmation email but I just checked my order and it was shipped yesterday, the 25th, with a delivery date of the 29th. Weird my order didnt say shipped yesterday but who cares….SOOO dont lose hope everybody out there who is constantly checking their order status like me :P…it most likely has already shipped.
Oh yeah..i had free ground shipping as well.

Mine is shipped but I have a problem. They “shipped” the T-shirt, key chain, custom wide strap, dual gig bag, faceplate but the elite bundle. Everything its labelled “shipped” but the elite bundle its “cancelled” =( I wrote a mail to customer support, still waiting.

This sucks. Either UPS is holding shipments or RedOctane gave them notice not to move until a certain date or something.
I got notice that mines was shipped 10/24/07. On 10/25/07 12:01am, it shows in transit to “SECAUCUS, NJ, US” from Commerce City, CO. Today is 10/27/07 and nothing on the tracking changed at all. It’s still in transit!!!!!
My expected arrival date is 10/31/07. They’re going to have lots of unhappy customers.

I ordered mine on 9-6-07 to get all the freebies. The only thing on the order status thing that shows shipped is the free ground shipping everything else shows up as warehouse. Its Monday and not a thing has showed up as shipped. Im so mad I waited hoping maybe monday, but now it is too late. I bet it doesn’t come till 10-31 or later. All stores are sold out and im stuck depending on RED OCTANE. I don’t think I will ever do that again. People that say theirs has shipped do you have tracking numbers? I’m tired of waiting!

This is ridiculous. I am furious!
The website even still says that you will get your order the day before it was released.
What the hell is going on?!

I got mine today, but they conveniently left out the the game and the guitars. (I just got the box with the silly extra stuff I don’t care about.) I should have known something was up when I saw the shipping weight was only 2.5 pounds… I doubt they’re respond to my complaint, but I’ll wait a couple days before canceling the charge.

Got the freebies like Joshua on Friday 26th. Called CSR and emailed numerous times. They don’t pick-up and all emails got unanswered. I’m left hanging 1 week now.

my order says it was shipped 10/29 but UPS says that only the billing information has been shipped. According to UPS they haven’t received a shipping date as of today (11/3) Red Octane has yet to respond to any emails that I have sent. they suck the big one

I preordered two Guitar Hero III packs over a month ago. One for the Play Station 2 and one for the Xbox 360. On 10/25 I received a conformation email that my complete order shipped with tracking information for UPS. I tracked the package and it said I would get it on 10/31. I did receive a package that day,it was missing the Xbox360 order even though the packing slip said that everything was in the box. I have tried to contact Red Octane by several emails and phone calls asking them to return my call (they are never available to answer the phone). I finally received an email on 11/3 saying that they are sorry for the inconvienence and that they would complete the order as soon as possible. I wanted to talk to a person!! I could forgive the fact that they screwed up my order, but not the fact they are cowardly and avoiding returning my phone call!!! I am still waiting for resulution to my problem. Best of luck to the rest of you who are in the same boat!

I still haven’t heard anything back at all, but I did file a complaint with the better business bureau Friday night, and they went ahead and forwarded my complaint to Red Octane this morning. I’ll let you guys know if it helps to move things along…

Well, it’s Nov. 7th and still no games!! I was sent an email saying that UPS lost the game on sunday night and it asked if I would like to have the games shipped overnight. Duh?? I’ve only been waiting for over a week! Never again will I order anything from their website. They’ve gone from suck to blow!

I still haven’t heard anything from Red Octane for over a week… I think they’re not producing the two guitar bundle because they make more on the single bundles… (Those are actually “in stock” for new purchases)… :’(

I too am waiting for my Wii and 360 Versions.
Has been in Secaucus NJ since the 29th. UPS won’t help me and made me contact the shipper. Ofcourse I cant get a hold of them.
SO I am SCREWED!!

They finally sent me the e-mail Tuesday telling me they’d ship it right away on their convenience. I’d assume that would be after the holiday season no earlier than January… Pretty sure they wouldn’t have taken an “I owe you” for payment, so I’m not sure how it’s at all reasonable for me to accept one from them.

Still nothing for me.
I have contacted Mastercard to file a dispute.
Tried to file a complaint with the BBB but the website isn’t working correctly.
God I am so effing frustrated!!
RedOctane will NEVER recieve my business again. I don’t care what games they release I will never purchase another product of theirs.
Rock Band is now on the top of my shopping list

Ugh, they sent me an e-mail on Saturday saying they were shipping it at some point that day. I’d been promised next day air and I’m pretty sure that didn’t happen. They made no effort to confirm it had been shipped and provide tracking information so I’m pretty sure they lied to me again. It’s convenient that they’re based on the opposite side of the country or else I’d have done something about it by now.

Well Redoctane cancelled my pre-order. Unsure of why, but glad they did. They are the worst company. Feel like a bait and switch company I dealt with last year, but at least they didn’t charge my card, yet? What a loser comany. Figured I would get an email stating it was cancelled and why. Must be a company run out of a 10 year olds clubhouse.

My Wii preorder went well - I received the package on October 29th and everything was there. However I had to ship the guitar back less than a month later because the fret buttons were sticking. They received the guitar on 12/3 and since then two emails to customer support regarding when I’ll get the exchange have gone unanswered. I really want the guitar back before the holidays, otherwise I’ll be quite p.o.

Want to join my ‘class action’ against Red Octane? They ripped me off and I’ve found quite a few other customers who were ripped and their Customer Service refuses to respond to emails or phone calls. Time to take action. I can handle the legal work through my firm.
