With last week’s helpings of vacations, feasts, and blockbuster releases for games, it’s probably a good thing that there’s a significant drop in quality titles hitting retail this week.
Seriously, that opening sentence wasn’t fluff: while we’ve grown accustomed to finally getting our mitts on long-awaited titles such as Mass Effect and Rock Band on the Xbox 360, this week we get one single game on Microsoft’s console, that, apparently has put the rest of the industry in a constant state of trepidation: The History Channel: Battle for the Pacific. ‘Nuff said.
OK, we’ll break away from Debbie-Downering up this post with a few positives on the Nintendo side of things. If you haven’t picked up Geometry Wars Galaxies for the Wii yet, and checked out the included DS version, you can now pick up a more feature-rich version for the Nintendo DS with the inclusion of WiFi multiplayer.
Finally, if you haven’t picked it up on any of the other systems, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is now available on the Wii, too. I think I’m speaking for everyone when I say, “Thank God.”
The rest…after the break!
