Dashboard Update Ready

The Dashboard update is now up, as we’d reported earlier. You can check out all the features via streaming video from the Xbox 360 itself by clicking on the new Inside Xbox tab on the main blade, then scrolling to Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb’s explanation of all the features.

Let us know what you think of the new Dashboard update.

    At first: WOW, shiny!

At last: I want some of the old stuff back :P including Firefly if you caught the reference in the fist line :)
One thing that bothers me the most: The country info on the gamercard in the guide is gone … ok it’s still there but if you blink or the guide is slow when loading the data you’ll miss it as it gets replaced with the gamer’s motto in a jiffy. So it’s “gone” from the main page and it is not listed on the new tab for the additional info like MSN contact info, real name, location and bio …

I have friends from a couple of countries on my list and this info was quite handy when sending messages to them. Because I am not playing with everyone all the time and can’t remember all the languages they are speaking. Von daher wäre es ganz sinnvoll wenn diese Zeile länger zu lesen wäre oder besser noch sie sich mit dem Motto abwechselt. So I wouldn’t mind if they showed the country info for a little longer or better yet cycle through motto and country.
Furthermore the country was a pretty useful “Lag-Indicator” during match making.

Oh and by the way: “Inside Xbox” is not available in Europe (yet).
