While broken peripherals and just plain incompatible instruments have plagued Rock Band’s release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 (more so on the former), the road to a fully-featured four-piece band just got a little sunnier, as EB Games has stated the release date of each of the sold-separately versions of the Guitars, Drum Kits, and Microphones for Harmonix’s rhythm-based juggernaut…kinda.
An e-mail sent out today to GameStop newsletter subscribers states that February 4th will be the official shipping date for the oh-so-desired peripherals:
We’d like to remind you that the Fender Stratocaster guitar controller, electronic drum kit, and microphone will be available separately beginning February 4; so you should pre-order the instrument of your choice now before the Groundhog Day Rush.
The problem? Well, besides making up a shopping holiday centered on Groundhog Day of all things, each instrument’s specific page points to a release date of *March* 4th. Hmmm…
