Heh, I actually didn't see this one coming (even from Jonah!) -- I'm probably going to wait a while until I pick Paradise up, but it seems like a universally praised, solid game from my experience with the demo. Heck, I probably played the demo version longer than I did Mass Effect!

"I love how much readers hate on you Jonah."

That's cause readers can smell an a--hole with mediocre talent a mile away.

I love how much readers hate on you Jonah. It's comical. Not deep?

Hundreds of events, crashes, shortcuts, jumps and 70 something vehicles? Unlimited replay value?

Challenges for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 people?

Nah, this shit's for BABIES.

I think the problem here is that you're playing Paradise like Revenge. Instead of adapting to the game play style of the open world and stop at a *different* intersection to do a *different* event, you take the time to drive all the way back to replay the one you just failed right away. You know what, though, odds are that there's an event around you that will take you back to around the same point as that initial event. Play it like GTA instead of Burnout Revenge and you may find yourself having a better time.

But, gaming is definitely subjective so you can't be faulted for having your own opinion, however it is less than a correct viewpoint since you're reviewing based on an incorrect frame of mind. As a standard racing game, sure, it might suck. As the very first true open world racing game (Test Drive Unlimited was a halfhearted attempt) it's something you can't expect to play as usual and enjoy all that much.

Force yourself to play more like GTA and report your findings. If you still don't like it, fine. Give the game a fair shake though.

"The game is so deep? Only if you’re an infant in a kiddie pool."

Wow dude, you're a jerk huh? Way to attract commenters to your publications. Really rolling out the welcome mat huh?

And looks like you are definitely in the minority about your opinion of the game. And that's cool, good to have different opinions, not always good to take a crap on someone else's opinion, like you just did.

If you readers would like to see another opinion on this game, check out this: http://www.2old2play.com/News/Burnout_Paradise_Review__Xbox_360

Of course you will notice Jonah took a crap there as well.

Good job man! Way to be respectful of others!

"... makes it impossible to play online multiplayer"

No, just don't be terrible. Stick on the road and it's allll good.

The co-op challenges are some of the most fun I've ever had cooperatively. I've spent over 5 hours doing the 2, 3 and 4 player ones. It's a friggin' riot. This game is literally Crackdown with cars.

It's not impossible to give this a high score. Criterion nailed a shit ton of their attempts, but there's definite determents to them. Driving fast, which you do a lot in this FAST paced (not slow) paced racer, eliminates any possibility of you ever looking at your map or signal icons. Lots of 90 degree turns gone bad.

Traffic is also a big problem as they frequently ATTACK you. Grr.

I think everything was well implemented. I`d like the option to restart, but ending an event, while frustrating, always ALWAYS leads you to a new one. And driving around the city looking for a shop or whatever often proves fun, as the burnout signs, gates and jumps are all SUPER fun to hit. I wish there was more of an unlocking element so I could go new places. It`s overwhelming without 6 or so hours of learning the city, which is actually what it is: full blown, real life style city. Learn it, and you`ll love it. Jump the gun and you`ll make rash comments like `The multiplayer is terrible` when it`s brilliant.

I disagree on most of your points, but I`m fully behind you on a lot of complaints. They just aren`t justifiable when the game is so deep. It just needs some time.
