Grand Theft Auto IV Officially M-Rated

The ESRB has posted the rating of Grand Theft Auto IV, and (gasp!) it’s rated M for Mature. Now, this news would be about as surprising as water being wet and night following day, but certain individuals have crusaded for GTA4 to be slapped with an AO (Adults Only) rating which would effectively kill it, since big chains won’t sell AO games. You know who I’m talking about, Mr. Thack Jompson.
(Some might question what the difference is between a game that can only be sold to those over 17 years of age and a game that can only be sold to those over 18.)
Regardless, this makes the April release that much more solid, so get ready to hit what some are predicting will sell 9M units and rock 2008.
