April Fool’s from Microsoft

Microsoft has gotten into the April Fool’s Day action by sending an email brand-new Spring products. The zany peripherals include:

The Wireless Helmet, complete with AirFlow temperature, 5.1 surround sound, Flex-Plasma In-Sight display, Temple Pressure rumble! Basically for those of you who didn’t think the NES Power Glove was “bad” enough.

Xbox Live: The Board Game, a board game with a USB peripheral - so you can play a board game and earn 78 Achievements while you’re at it. Only makes sense with Xbox Live Arcade nabbing so many adaptations of classic board games.

Xbox 360 Vintage Edition, for those of you (like me) who miss the big black Xbox, but instead of a plastic case, a nice flammable wood finish. The controller is too zany to describe.

Xbox 360 Recon Edition - and on the other part of the spectrum, the Recon edition is a portable 360 that never gets hot and completely weather-proof, but also comes with a built-in screen projector.

Which one to you is the coolest?

I was one of the few people who actually fell for this. I was so excited about the helmet so I clicked on it to preorder it. I have been slapping myself ever since. Hey Jonah, maybe you should put up a poll asking us users how much we would pay for each of these items!

No. We’re dealing with a tastier topic for now. :p
