Battlefield: Bad Company Due June 23

Joystiq is reporting that Battlefield: Bad Company will be in store shelves on June 23, 2008. The controversial title initially had a “Buy Guns with Real Money” microtransaction scandal, but that had been changed last week to a less dubious - but still dubious - system:
- Pay $10 for the Gold Edition of the game, have the guns on the disc
- Buy the Standard Edition, hit the max rank level of 25
- In both cases, “You have to do the marketing programs that we’re going to announce further ahead” before you can get the guns.
Maybe that means you have to fight it out in a Coca-Cola factory, or grab the Mazda flag, or play King of the Hill with Oreos representing the hotspots….
