Well, unless he un-retires - and that’s not out of the realms of possibility, to tell the truth - there won’t be any Madden Curse as Brett Favre, according to GameDaily, will be the cover athlete for Madden NFL 09.
GameDaily BIZ has discovered that Electronic Arts is preparing to announce recently retired Green Bay Packers quarterback and three-time AP MVP Brett Favre as the cover athlete for the upcoming Madden NFL 09, which is slated to hit store shelves on August 12.
As we stated when we reported the extension of EA’s exclusive NFL license through 2012, Madden NFL has been doing worse and worse, with lower sales and critical scores. Is Madden really relevent anymore?
