GTA4 (PS3): Servers Are Down

Now you know why Microsoft upgraded their servers, because those players trying to play Grand Theft Auto IV on PlayStation Network can’t play.
An error message pops up: “Cannot connect to game provider, please try again.”
This, with the current freezing problem is creating a lot of headaches for PS3 owners. Of course, since online is free, they really can’t complain, you know.

It is not a problem. You can not conect because you need to get updated phone from one of the missions. When you get updated phone you can log online but then another problem arises. When you are online it freezes and I had to restart my PS3 number of times.

i cant make a custom room, and when i do i can only stay in there for like 2 mins tops. says lost connection and im still connected to the internet??? takes forever to load. i try like six times and an hour flys by.not worth it.. i know its free to play online but thats the whole reason why i bought it for ps3 so i could play online..pretty stupid.

I have a problem now that every time i play online, i make a ridiculous amount of money in deathmatches and when i shut off my system and turn it back on, its like i’ve done nothing. Are the servers having a problems with saving accomplishments and if so, how do i get to see the 15 or so hours worth of playing come back to me? WTF!?

the play station network is garbage. join us in destroying their servers and nobody will be able to play anything until it is fixed.
