GTA4 (PS3) Running at 640 Pixels

Here we go again. The Great Big HD Pixel Debate. Sony brought this on by claiming that “true HD” is 1080p - I guess my HDTV isn’t “real” since it only goes up to 1080i. Anyway, Grand Theft Auto IV runs at 720p on the Xbox 360… and 640 on the PlayStation 3.
While this is a slap in the face to technophiles and Sony, does it really matter? Who, honestly, can really tell the difference unless their HDTV is the size of Pablo Picasso’s Guernica? People who take the time to count pixels should either be in R&D at Samsung or going to the beach to cure that fish-white complexion.
Repeat after me: graphics do not make a great game. Look at N+, for instance. It’s a bunch of STICK FIGURES! Castle Crashers and echochrome are two of the hottest coming titles on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Store respectively, and they look great - but not because of resolution. It’s artistry.
Anyone can use a paintbrush - it’s what you DO with the paintbrush that matters.

About time someone said that. Seriously, when Halo 3 came out everyone was ready for the HD real life experience, then the ney sayers bitched about the whole 640p or whatever, and I am thinking “This game still kicks ass, and I still get a “realistic” feel from it.”
Honestly, anyone who actually judges a game based on graphics needs a girlfriend (or boyfriend to be P.C.)
