NASCAR 09 To Feature Custom Paint Jobs

Noticing the popularity of user-created paint jobs in Forza Motorsport 2, Electronic Arts’ stock car racer will have that feature for NASCAR 09.

With the all-new Paint Booth feature, NASCAR fans will be able to completely customize their car from start to finish, complete with sponsor logos. In addition, car customization will be visible online so players can see their friends’ custom-designed car skins when racing against them via Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network.

The game will come out on June 10.

NASCAR 09 for PS3, Xbox 360 to Support Custom Paint Jobs

Following in the footsteps of Forza Motorsport 2 and other car-customization games, NASCAR 09 will let players create their own custom paint jobs, Electronic Arts announced today.

With the all-new Paint Booth feature, NASCAR fans will be able to completely customize their car from start to finish, complete with sponsor logos. In addition, car customization will be visible online so players can see their friends’ custom-designed car skins when racing against them via Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network.

In addition, car-design templates in the Paint Booth will be available online, which players can download and import it into editing programs such as Photoshop. Once the design is done, players can then upload the images into the game and show off their dream machine on the track.

NASCAR 09 will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 10.
