POLL: What Is Your Favorite Retro Gaming System?
This new poll is fairly simple: what is your favorite retro gaming system? You can add your own answers, in case you loved your Sinclair or your Texas Instruments computer. No consoles that have new releases being sold in stores for them (ie. no PlayStation 2) and no handheld consoles.
The list includes the Adam, Apple II, Apple GS, Atari 2600, Atari 400/800, Atari ST, ColecoVision, Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Intellivision, MS-DOS, NES, Neo*Geo, Nintendo 64, PlayStation One, Sega Genesis, and the Super NES.
If you want, you can read an ode to the C-64 posted here over a year ago for a sampling of retro love.
[The poll is over there to the right-hand column.]

SNES, hand’s down.
Granted, a lot of this is nostalgia coming back, but since I’ve recently played my SNES I can say this with confidence.

I’ll have no choice but to agree with Derrick.
The SNES library contains some of the best gaming treasures. .
Super Metroid, Super Mario (Allstars is a fantastic cart), Super Mario Kart, Secret of Mana, Link to the Past, Tetris Attack, Star Fox, Super Punch Out!!…
There’s really no contest.

MSDOS! I grew up with Sierra and LucasArts adventure games and cut my teeth on Wolfenstein3d and Doom, Not to mention such amazing games as Fallout, X-com, and TIE Fighter, nothing beats old PC (MSDOS) gaming, nothing!

OK, I finally picked one: the C-64. It was my first REAL computer (Adam notwithstanding). I grew up with the C-64. Did Basic on it. Fell in love with Sid Meier on it.
