GamePro is reporting that Microsoft is denying claims that they are developing an Xbox 360 slim.
“While we don’t normally comment on rumors like this, we can tell you that we have no plans to release a new console in 2009,” a rep said.
Even so, rumors have persisted this year that Microsoft is working hard to streamline the insides of the Xbox 360, as part of an effort to combat the console’s notoriously high failure rates.
“No new console” is tricky. It might mean no to a completely new console, but a redesigned one… why not?
Which is more important for Microsoft - working on a redesigned “slim” 360, or developing and planning the 720?
