Tecmo Bowl to WiiWare in 2009?

Joystiq is reporting that Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff, which has already been announced for the Nintendo DS, will be coming to the Nintendo Wii as well.
No details on the game were divulged, other than that it will hit the field sometime in 2009. Do we smell the faint aroma of a WiiWare-perfect title in there with sweaty pigskin players?
High probability this will be WiiWare instead of a retail game.
