Tecmo Responds to Itagaki

After Tomonobu Itagaki’s angry announcement yesterday that he was leaving Tecmo and suing them to boot over unpaid bonuses and an unfriendly work environment. Tecmo responded today in a statement which, amongst other things, accuses Itagaki of distorting the truth in his suit against Tecmo CEO, Yoshimi Yasuda.
Tecmo states that Itagaki was paid all bonuses due and that his complaint is in regards to the previous management of the company. It also goes on to explain that Itagaki was not the only one who worked at Team Ninja and that his statements made it appear as if it was a solo project. Finally, Tecmo announced that Team Ninja is now moving on to their next project, under new management we assume.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the coming weeks.
