I can’t say I understand Nintendo on-line content strategy. Technically your back-catalog is a finite resource but even releasing 3 or 4 titles a week it’s going to take over 4 years to release every single game released for just the NES in the United States, so what’s with the garbage they consistently hand out? Anyhow this week you can get your hands on that old arcade classic, Dig Dug (600 Wii points), the import title BIO MIRACLE BOKUTTE UPA (600 Wii points) which translates into Bio Miracle My Name is Upa. Upa is a Konami game released originally on the Famicom disk system in Japan, in it you play a baby who attacks baddies with his rattle while traversing through a landscape made of cake… Yup, all the great Konami games out there and we get this one.
The WiiWare release this week is My Pokemon Ranch (1000 Wii points), which appears to be more of a screensaver than a game. In My Pokemon Ranch you can upload captured Pokemon (from your Pearl or Diamond game) and have them interact with the Mii’s you’ve created! Yes, it is that good - no wait, it stinks. (sigh)
