New Pair of Xbox 360 Rumors

We’ve haven’t bothered covering all the Blu-Ray Xbox 360 rumors that have been circulating since the demise of HD-DVD earlier this year. The idea that Sony would give their competitor access to their proprietary system borders on the ridiculous. That isn’t the only rumor centered on Microsoft’s console.

Back from the grave, thanks to the folks at Trusted Reviews, is the 60GB Xbox 360. This is a rumor that has a lot going for it. Microsoft continues to expand their Xbox Live service, and as more television shows and movies become available through the service, those 20GB hard drives are going to seem pitifully small. A bigger drive just makes sense, especially if that other popular rumor regarding Netflix is true.

The other rumor comes from industry analyst Jesse Divnich, who speculates that a price drop is imminent for the 360 to counter the PS3’s growth, and perhaps a new SKU as well.

Stay tuned for more rumors, leaks, and gossip as we approach E3 next month.
