Tecmo Attempts to Douse Fires

Tecmo, in a pair of press releases, has decried reports in the “foreign media” which allege that the company’s Team Ninja was hemorrhaging talent, facing a lot of time in Court fighting a class action lawsuit filed by its employees, and slapping a gag order on Tomonobu Itagaki. In the releases Tecmo pleaded with the media to “be fair” and not report on the rumors, as all the attention is making their employees “anxious”. They also said that reports of employees leaving by the dozens were “groundless” and that the specifics of the lawsuit against were “inaccurate”. Of course, we here in the States are getting this all second hand, using Google Translate and such, as nothing has been released in English.
In the future, we here at Gamestooge will do our best to “be fair” so as to not disturb the apparently fragile nature of Tecmo’s employees.
