Starcraft 2 By the End of the Year?

Early this morning Internet gaming sites lit up with the news that the release date for Starcraft 2 had been revealed. Only to calm down just a little when it came out that Blizzard had made no official announcement. The hullaballu is over the fact that at Gamestop.com and other games store websites, a search for Starcraft 2 reveals a ship date of 12/3/08. I can only speculate how long the date stays up; Blizzard is notorious for pushing game dates back and only giving release dates late in the development cycle.
