Mega Man 9 Coming to XBLA, PSN

We’d already reported to you that the latest issue of Nintendo Power has an article concerning Capcom’s Mega Man 9. We’re now hearing that Capcom has the game slated to be presented at E3 this year as a release for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade! It was only a matter of time before companies began releasing downloadable content across the various console networks, now that Nintendo has finally caught up with Sony and Microsoft. MM9 is the first to be scheduled as such, is the first known simultaneous release title across all three next-gen consoles.

With their download networks in place now, will the Big Three work as hard at getting exclusives for their downloadable content as they have for traditionally distributed titles? While the ability to release simultaneously across the three consoles gives developers the ability to market their games to a wider audience, I worry that the console makers are going to use their network to just escalate the console wars.
