Atlus and NIS America Bestest Friends

Since 2003’s Disgaea, Atlus and NIS America have been chummy, releasing a number of titles, mostly turn-based strategies, together. Disgaea has remained their most popular franchise and the two companies are staying together to release the third in the series for the Playstation 3. They’ve also announced two more upcoming games, both for Nintendo’s DS: Disgaea DS and a re-make of the Playstation original Rhapsody: a Musical Adventure for the DS. NIS America has done well enough catering to niche players, but I have to wonder how much demand there is for an old Playstation game, or for another iteration of the original Disgaea; I haven’t even beaten the original yet.
