E3: Bungie’s Next Game is a Halo Game

Microsoft’s Don Mattrick revealed in an interview with MTV that

  • Yes, Bungie’s working on a Halo game
  • No, Bungie’s not on the outs with Microsoft
  • Bungie wasn’t used for Monday’s conference because Microsoft wanted max excitement for the title, and doing it then would have gotten it overshadowed or overshadowed other stuff
  • the title is not Halo Wars or Peter Jackson’s Halo project

Perhaps it’s that not-so-secret Halo-themed tactical shooter we’re all not supposed to know about? Or maybe it’s Duke Master Chief Forever?
