Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Now Rock Band Guitar-Compatible

Joystiq is reporting that there’s a new update for the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith that allows the player to use their Rock Band guitar with the game.
Oddly, there had been some inconsistency with the controller issue before the update:
We’ve been trying to get to the bottom of the inconsistent incompatibility between Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and non-Guitar Hero guitars for weeks. Some players who try to use, let’s say, the Rock Band Stratocaster would be greeted by the above screen while other encountered no problems at all.
Question is, which guitar do you prefer - Guitar Hero or Rock Band’s?

The Rockband looks more realistic, but the Guitar Hero one serves as a better controller and is easier to use. Also the “star power” sensor acctually works on the Guitar Hero controller.
In short…Guitar Hero 3/Aerosmith controller all the way!
