Well, we hope you’re enjoying Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, because Joystiq is reporting that Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi stated that the full game won’t come out before 2010.
According to the Polyphony Digital boss, his studio is focusing a majority of its efforts on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. In fact, he confirmed that the proper, disc-based Gran Turismo 5 might not even roll out before 2010.
In the meantime, Polyphony will continue to expand Prologue with additional cars, tracks, and features. Yamauchi couldn’t speak to specific plans, but mentioned that an new update is planned for the near future.
Our guess? A proper GT5 will never come out - just GT5 Prologue with more and more stuff, and they’ll jump directly to Gran Turismo 6. The toughest news is that Gran Turismo 4 Mobile, which was shown off at E3 2004 for the PlayStation Portable won’t come out before 2011. And you thought Duke Nukem Forever was being strung along.

GTA4 Mobile WAS for the PSP, but it’s been quietly set aside.
