[UPDATE: Microsoft says that the prices just ain't so. More later.]
The Japanese Xbox 360 site has revealed the pricing on the Summer of Arcade titles that will be coming our way starting today and going into August. Why do the Japanese get it before we do? I can’t rightly tell you; all I can tell you is that the games are a bit pricey:
- July 30: Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 – 800 points ($10)
- August 6: Braid – 1200 Points ($15)
- August 13: Bionic Commando: Rearmed – 800 points
- August 20: Galaga Legions - 800 points
- August 27: Castle Crashers – 1800 points ($22.50)
Grand Total for Summer of Arcade: $67.50
Castle Crashers is really expensive isn’t it? In fact, the boys over at Joystiq say it’s the most expensive XBLA title ever! I don’t know if it’s worth it, I’ll try the demo first. The only must have for me on this list is Bionic Commando: Rearmed, I’m interested in testing out Braid and Galaga too but don’t know if I’ll be purchasing them.
What do you absolutely need to get from Summer of Arcade or are you skipping it?
P.S. This is a Japanese site so the US prices might be different but they haven’t been in the past.
(Thanks, Joystiq.)
